What mattress is better than Saatva?
Established in 2010, Saatva specializes in direct-to-consumer high-end mattresses under three brand names: Saatva, Loom & Leaf, and Zenhaven. Pocketed coils give the Saatva Classic an excellent quantity of bounce near the top, and a luxurious top adds softness. As with all of the Saatva Company’s mattresses, the Saatva Classic is delivered by movers, rather than in a box.

When their partner stirs may find the Saatva transfers more motion than ideal, people who are easily awoken Individuals who like the hug of memory foam may not feel the Saatva conforms carefully adequate The Saatva’s convenience system utilizes thinner layers of foam than lots of hybrid designs. Keep in mind: Saatva recently updated the Zenhaven, altering the kind of latex utilized in its foam layers. The Zenhaven now includes Dunlop latex, instead of Talalay latex; read more about the distinctions below. We plan to evaluate the new version soon and will upgrade this guide with our impressions.
The all-foam Zenhaven consists mostly of latex, which is intrinsically resilient. The Zenhaven is likewise flippable (the High-end Plush side feels medium-firm, while the Mild Firm side feels a bit firmer), which may prove practical if you’re uncertain what you prefer or if your requirements alter with time. This is not a traditionally cushy mattress, but it offers a flexible cushion, excellent edge assistance, and a subtle springiness. Offered its innate sturdiness, the Zenhaven ought to work well for people who weigh more than 200 pounds.
For this evaluation, I slept on the Saatva Classic, the Loom & Leaf, and the Zenhaven mattresses for a number of weeks in my own house. These mattresses were also examined in our group tests conducted for Wirecutter’s guides to the best foam mattresses and the finest innerspring bed mattress. As Wirecutter’s senior personnel author for sleep, I’ve spoken with scores of professionals in the mattress industry and in products science; visited dozens of mattress factories, stores, and display rooms; and read the small print on specifications, warranties, and return policies. Most just recently, monitoring editor Courtney Schley examined the Saatva Latex Hybrid in her home for a number of weeks.

We haven’t yet done a deep dive into the “natural” claims of Saatva or of other “environmentally friendly” brands. But we do understand that the business utilizes thistle pulp or organic wool as a flame retardant (instead of chemicals or fiberglass) and only natural cotton (instead of synthetic blends) in its covers. As do other online bed mattress business, Saatva promotes such bonus as zoned layers for “optimum spine support”; we’re less impressed with those features and more appreciative of Saatva’s responsive customer care and durable foams and coils.
